IPA (India Pale Ale)

This style originated when the British were sending beer on the long trip to India to fuel a soldier’s thirst in the heat. Darker malts and more hops with higher alcohols were needed for the beer to survive months at sea.

At Ekhidna we deliver a similar style. Amber Malts, Willamette and Halletau hops are used to deliver a full honey and caramel flavour with malt complexity, and bitterness. We finish it with our own little secret twist to provide smoother finishing Ale.
